A family business for decades, initiated by his late father Biren Singh, as a renowned artisan, the Kouna handicraft business is continued by Shri Binot Singh as a legacy. He earns about fifty thousand rupees per month with all hardship to maintain the family and the business. There is lack of proper premises for the business and the ancestral home is shared with two other married brothers. Binot always dreams for a working shed under a roof and a shed to store the dried raw materials.

Further he wishes to increase income through enhanced marketing and organised work force under his supervision. He is much sought after artisan for sofa material, Kouna sofa, yoga mats and so on. Special orders are from Bangalore. He wants to widen the marketing domain while there is ready availability of raw material.
